Far East Ocean GRI (General Rate Increase).

Further to our on-going negotiatons on a Global scale, we are pleased to annouce that NNR will not be applying the suggested FEFC (Far East Freight Conference) GRI anticipated for April 2008.

Furthermore, for some origins on inbound cargo the NNR price has actually been reduced. It is not anticipated that these deals will be available for long as we fast approach Peak Season. Please call us or click here if you would like a quotation of solution within 24 hours.

Peak Season Surcharge (Far East Ocean import).

The FEFC have announced the Peak Season Surcharge duration and commencement for 2008.

PSS begins June 1st 2008 and is planned to continue until October 17th 2008

PSS will be levied at USD 158 per TEU.

Far East trade Ocean CAF & BAF.

CAF and BAF surcharges for the coming month are as follows: May 2008

BAF: USD 509 /20' - US$1018 /40' - US$ 25.45 /wm LCL.

CAF: 17.7%

Airfreight Fuel Surcharge.
EXPORT:
In line with continued increases by airlines, NNR's airfreight EXPORT Fuel Surcharge has risen to an average of 68p per kilo (GBP 0.68/ USD 1.35). It is somewhat dependant on airline and route and therefore please check before booking.

IMPORT:
Being that the increases are directly relative to the escalating fuel prices, INBOUND airfreight Fuel Surcharge is similarly affected. The US markets average USD 0.80 (80 cents) per kilo whilst some China origins are now well over the USD 1.00 (1 Dollar) marker. As with air export, please call us for up to date surcharges as these DO fluctuate without notice.

UK Special Handling Unit for "Crosstrade".

From MAY 2008, NNR UK opens a specific National "Special Handling Unit".

The department will handle Crosstrade "Triangle" shipments and be the One-Stop-Shop for customers using NNR's 3PL and 4PL logistics facilities where there is a natural overlap in transportation need.

All shipments handled through the Special Handling Unit will of course have visibility from the moment the PO or RMA is issued via NNR's first class webtracking facility, PowerNET©.
